FESTIVAL 2011
by Clare Slyfield - Tuesday, 6 December 2011, 09:19 AM

Festival 2011On Thursday 15th December, the School will be holding a festival to help raise money for the, Woodard Schools Foundation charity initiative. The money raised will help the Foundation complete the building of a new Langalanga school in Kariandusi, Kenya.

The Festival Committee have put together a great line up of events, including 'Would I Lie To You?', 'Just A Minute' and 'University Challenge'. These events will see teachers pitting their skills against each other in the Great Hall. Also, students will be able to wear non-uniform to school and during the afternoon, tutor groups will be creating stalls in their classrooms to help raise money.

Students will be asked to donate £2 to wear non-uniform. Admissions to the main events in Great Hall are £2 each but with a Festival Pass for £5, students can view all 6 events without further cost.

Last year, Festival raised around £10,000 for the nominated charities and we hope that this year's Festival will be as successful.
